Temporary Bus Relocations at Grosvenor-Strathmore (Bus Shelters F, G, H, J, & K)

Advisory Effective: 4/13/26 - 4/24/26

Beginning April 13, bus shelter G serving 6 Parkside, 37 Wheaton, Potomac at the Grosvenor-Strathmore bus loop will temporarily close and relocate to temporary stop/shelter D. Bus Shelter H serving 6 and 96 will temporarily close & relocate to temporary stop/shelter C. For more information, visit wmata.com/busshelters.

Customer Information

• If your shelter is closed, please follow signs to temporary stops C & D.
• Riders should follow posted signage directing them to the temporary stops along the Grosvenor-Strathmore Bus Loop.

Safety

• All temporary bus stop areas and construction zones will be clearly marked. For your safety, please stay clear of work areas and follow all posted signs.
• Expect possible noise during construction work hours.

Launched in 2023 through the Bus Stop and Shelter Improvements Program, our ongoing Better Bus initiative continues replacing some of the region’s oldest bus shelters—many in place for nearly 50 years. The new shelters maintain weather protection while adding enhanced safety features such as translucent walls, LED‑lit roofs for improved visibility, and designated accessibility areas with AIDs and ADA‑compliant seating.
