Routes Affected: Q1, Q4, Q5, Y2, Y7, Y8
Metrobus will detour due to the 2021 Wheaton Arts Parade. Customers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow additional travel time.
Street closures:
- Reedie Dr between Georgia Ave and Veirs Mill Rd
- Georgia Ave (southbound) between University Blvd and Reedie Dr
The following routes will detour:
Q1, Q4, Q5 Veirs Mill Road southbound toward Silver Spring/Wheaton
- Buses begin detouring on Veirs Mill Rd at Reedie Dr, resuming regular route on Wheaton Metrorail station entrance at Veirs Mill Rd.
Q1, Q4, Q5 Veirs Mill Road northbound toward Shady Grove/Rockville
- Regular route, no detour
Y2, Y7, Y8 Georgia Ave-Maryland southbound toward Silver Spring
- Buses begin detouring on University Blvd at Georgia Ave, resuming regular route on Wheaton Metrorail station entrance at Veirs Mill Rd.
Y2, Y7, Y8 Georgia Ave-Maryland northbound toward Montgomery Medical Center/ICC Park & Ride
- Regular route, no detour
