Synopsis
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking bids from qualified firms to provide equipment and supplies to the Metro Transit Police Department (MTPD) for detection of and response to a chemical, biological, radio-logical, nuclear or explosive (CBRNE) threat scenario. MTPD requires additional supplies and equipment to allow members to conduct CBRNE detection and response operations. The procurement will expand the current capabilities of MTPD, allowing for better protection of members and reduction of risk for patrons through the ability of MTPD to more effectively respond to CBRNE threats.
