Synopsis
Solicitation Notice and Request for Proposal (RFP) Solicitation RFP FQ15104 - Escalator Canopies March 6, 2015
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking the services of a Contractor to procure, fabricate, deliver and erect structural stainless steel framing/metal frame skylights canopies over several WMATA’s station entrance escalators in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. Associated work includes landscaping, the design and installation of temporary overhead protection platforms, design and installation of lighting, and modification of the existing parapet walls/sidewalks.
WMATA therefore requests your participation by submitting proposals in response to this solicitation, RFP FQ15104 – Escalator Canopies. Please note that all prospective vendors responding to this solicitation must utilize WMATA’s Construction Project Management Software System (PMSS), “Procore”. Procore helps to streamline the procurement process by allowing proposers to download relevant proposing documents and to then submit a proposal electronically.
In order to download this Solicitation, PLEASE SEND AN EMAIL TO: Mojisola Jimoh, WMATA PROCORE Support, at mjimoh@wmata.com with your company name, contact name, position, email, telephone number and company physical address AND COPY (CC) to contract Administrators, Nichel Crooks and Robyn Howard, ncrooks@wmata.com and rghoward@wmata.com, respectively. Failure to CC the Contract Administrators may exclude you from further notifications and correspondences. PLEASE INCLUDE RFP FQ15104 in the Subject of your email. You will then receive an email from PROCORE with the instructions on how to upload the Solicitation.
A pre-proposal conference is scheduled to be held on March 24, 2015 at 12:30 pm at the WMATA’s Jackson Graham Building (JGB), Lobby Level Meeting Room, located at 600 5th Street N.W., Washington, D.C., 20001.
Technical and Price Proposals are due Tuesday April 21, 2015 at 3:00 p.m., electronically through PROCORE. The projected award date is August 4, 2015. Solicitation RFP FQ15104 includes a DBE goal of 26%. Information on the WMATA DBE program can be found at http://www.wmata.com/business/disadvantaged_business_enterprise/
Site visits were not scheduled since all the escalator canopy sites can be publicly accessed. Prospective vendors are therefore encouraged to conduct their own site visits at their conveniences.
