A11 & A12 Bus Route Detours along Mt. Vernon Av. starting May 16, 2026

Beginning May 16, metro bus routes A11 and A12 will detour due to reconstruction on the Arlington Ridge Road/Mount Vernon Avenue Bridge

Detours will be in effect:

Weekdays:
8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Saturdays:
6:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Routes A11 and A12 will detour at Mt Vernon Av and W Glebe Rd, temporarily suspending service at bus stops along Mt. Vernon Av.

Please allow extra travel time, use alternate bus stops and consider transferring buses to reach alternate bus stops.

During reconstruction, Metro Bus will operate on a regular schedule before and after the detour timeframes and on Sunday.
