Metrorail weekday service changes for Monday, April 27 through Friday, May 1

Advisory Effective: 4/27/26 - 5/1/26

Hours: Mon-Thurs 5 a.m. - midnight; Fri 5 a.m. - 2 a.m. 

Service-At-A-Glance  

Red Line Monday through Thursday: Normal Service until 10 p.m., then trains single track between Friendship Heights and Van Ness-UDC. After 10 p.m., trains run every 9 minutes between Farragut North and Glenmont and every 18 minutes between Farragut North and Shady Grove. Friday: Normal Service 
Yellow Line Monday through Thursday: Normal Service until 10 p.m. when all trains turn back at Mt Vernon Sq. Friday: Normal Service 
Green Line Monday through Thursday: Normal Service until 10 p.m., then trains single track between College Park and Greenbelt. After 10 p.m., trains run every 15 minutes. Friday: Normal Service 
Orange Line Normal Service 
Silver Line Normal Service 
Blue Line Normal Service 

 

What Track Work Are We Doing?

On the Red Line, crews will perform tunnel leak mitigation. On the Green Line, we will complete system upgrades.
